Well, what happened on day – what is this, 9? I believe so.
Mind you, I’m writing these blogs a day behind (which might not be for the best, as I seem to be forgetting to recall what all happened.
Day 8 I was really out of it, which is why Steve-Ji, so kindly stepped in with a guest blog.
Day 9 was another day of lessons for all, (actually I believe the Flute Bros™ didn’t have a lesson this day). My legs are barely functioning due from the constant deep pleas we dance in during our lessons, as well as the early morning yoga – yikes! I (and I’m sure Chelsea and Kevin A.) will be quite happy once the weekend comes around, and our bodies can recover from the last four days of intense training (sheesh, sounds like I’m talking about basic-training for the military or something…) (but seriously, this dance form does a number on all parts of the body).
Perhaps most exciting this day, was the trip to the MEGA MORE. Remember the More Store from before? Imagine that but twice the size on the floor, with an additional 5 floors of other stuff above it. It’s the Macy’s New York of Mysore.
We all bought our groceries mugs and ping pong balls, and in addition to the Mega More, the flute bro’s were over at this massive 2 level bookstore/cd/gift store looking for the greatest hits to sweep Karnataka. The group that split to the Mega More and the flute bros, did a switch-a-roo, and ended up in the other store before returning to the party bus to head home.
That evening Merilynne (wife of Steve-Ji/nurse/super-cool-human) gave us a health lecture via skype which is much needed as our bodies are experiencing quite new things and how they can react to a new diet, new schedule, new everything varies.
